1. About Junglee Wildlife Tours
Junglee Wildlife Tours (ABN 67 684 159 304) is an Australian wildlife safari specialist based in Melbourne, Victoria. We organise expert-guided, small-group wildlife photography safaris to India and East Africa. These Terms of Service govern all bookings and use of our website at jungleewildlifetours.com.au.
2. Bookings and Deposits
A booking is confirmed once we have received a completed enquiry form and issued a written confirmation. To secure your place on a tour, a 30% deposit is required. The balance is due 90 days before departure.
Additional park fees may apply if mandated by relevant government authorities after your booking is confirmed. We will advise you of any such changes promptly.
3. Pricing
All prices are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Prices cover the inclusions specified on each tour page. Prices do not include:
- International and domestic airfares
- Travel insurance (required — see Section 7)
- Visa fees
- Items of a personal nature, tips, or optional activities not listed as inclusions
We reserve the right to adjust pricing due to currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, or changes in government taxes prior to final payment. We will notify you promptly of any such changes.
4. Cancellation by the Client
A 30% deposit confirms your booking; the balance is due 90 days before departure. If you cancel your booking, the following refunds apply based on notice given before departure:
- 90 or more days before departure: Your deposit is refunded, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred on your behalf (bank, airline, accommodation, permits).
- 89 to 61 days before departure: 70% refund of the total tour price, excluding non-recoverable costs.
- 60 to 45 days before departure: 50% refund of the total tour price, excluding non-recoverable costs.
- Fewer than 45 days before departure: No refund.
All cancellations must be made in writing to info@jungleewildlifetours.com.au. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers cancellation.
5. Cancellation or Alteration by Junglee Wildlife Tours
We reserve the right to cancel or modify a tour due to insufficient bookings, force majeure events (including natural disasters, pandemics, civil unrest, or government travel advisories), or safety concerns. In such cases we will offer you:
- A full refund of monies paid to us, or
- An alternative tour of equivalent value
We are not responsible for any consequential costs such as airfares, visas, or other travel arrangements made independently.
6. Itinerary Changes
Wildlife safaris operate in remote natural environments. Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, wildlife movements, park access restrictions, road conditions, or other circumstances beyond our control. We will always endeavour to provide an equivalent experience. No refunds are provided for minor itinerary variations.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all Junglee Wildlife Tours participants. Your policy must cover, at a minimum:
- Medical evacuation and hospitalisation
- Trip cancellation and curtailment
- Loss of luggage and equipment
You must provide proof of insurance prior to departure. Junglee Wildlife Tours accepts no liability for losses that would have been covered by adequate travel insurance.
8. Health and Fitness
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to travel. Some destinations require vaccinations — please consult your doctor and the Australian Government's Smartraveller website well in advance of travel. You must disclose any medical conditions that may affect your participation at the time of booking.
9. Liability
Junglee Wildlife Tours acts as an agent for local ground operators, accommodation providers, and transport companies. Our liability is limited to the services we directly provide. We are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience caused by third-party suppliers, acts of nature, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Photography and Media
We may photograph or film activities on tour for marketing purposes. By participating you consent to the use of such images unless you advise us in writing prior to departure. You retain full ownership of all photographs and footage you personally capture on tour.
11. Conduct
We operate small, intimate groups and expect all participants to treat fellow travellers, guides, and local communities with respect. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose conduct is disruptive, dangerous, or offensive without refund.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
