The People Leading
Your Safari

You're trusting us with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Here's who you'll be with on the ground.

Krishna Goswami, founder of Junglee Wildlife Tours, in Kenya's Amboseli with telephoto lens

Krishna Goswami

Founder & Lead Safari Specialist

Krishna knows what it feels like to arrive at a world-class national park completely unprepared. Wrong zones. No understanding of animal behaviour. Nobody to help you read the forest. He spent years figuring it out across India, Kenya and Tanzania. Junglee Wildlife Tours exists so you don't have to. Small groups, genuine field access, and a guide who cares as much about the wildlife as you do.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to see tigers in India? +

The best time to see tigers in Kanha and Pench National Parks is October to June, when the parks are open to visitors. Peak tiger sightings occur from March to May when the vegetation thins and tigers congregate near water sources. Our Tiger Marathon and Tiger Expedition tours are carefully timed to maximise your chances of close encounters.

How many people are on each safari tour? +

We cap every safari at a maximum of 4 guests per vehicle, and never more than 2 vehicles (8 guests) per departure. That means everyone gets a window seat, more intimate wildlife encounters, less disturbance to animals, superior photography opportunities, and individual attention from your expert guide, Krishna.

Can I travel on my own dates instead of a scheduled departure? +

Yes. Prefer your own dates? We welcome bespoke travel dates across the entire tiger season, October to June, and year-round for Kenya. Tell us when you'd like to travel and we'll build a departure around you. Note that Kanha & Pench safari permits book out around 120 days ahead, so enquire early to lock your dates.

What is included in the safari packages? +

Our luxury safari packages include expert guiding by Krishna, luxury safari lodges and tented camps, all national park entry fees, safari vehicle fees, and wildlife photography guidance. Some packages include chartered flights. Full inclusions vary by tour, see each individual tour page for complete details.

When does the Great Wildebeest Migration happen? +

The Great Wildebeest Migration river crossings in Kenya's Masai Mara occur between July and October each year. Over 1.5 million wildebeest, along with zebras and gazelles, make the perilous crossing of the Mara River, creating one of nature's greatest spectacles. Our Migration Madness tour is timed specifically to witness this event.

Is Junglee Wildlife Tours based in Australia? +

Yes. Junglee Wildlife Tours is proudly Australian-owned and operated, based in Melbourne, Victoria. We are an Australia-first operator offering international wildlife photography safaris to India and East Africa, with all bookings, customer support and tour management handled from our Melbourne office.

Do I need photography experience to join a Junglee tour? +

No photography experience is necessary! Our tours welcome everyone from first-time safari goers to professional wildlife photographers. That said, our itineraries are designed with photographers in mind, optimal lighting times, strategic positioning, and expert guidance on capturing wildlife behaviour. You'll leave with extraordinary images regardless of your camera skill level.
