A Workshop, Not Just a Safari

Most India tiger tours put you in a vehicle and hope for the best. The Tiger Trilogy is built the other way round: twelve days structured as a working photography workshop, with two experienced photographers in the field alongside you on every drive.

📷 Thirteen safaris across three reserves: Kanha, Pench and Tadoba. Never more than four guests to a jeep, and only two or three at Tadoba, so everyone has a clear sightline. Your two workshop leaders spread across the vehicles, so you're never the one without guidance.

Kanha's open sal meadows give the cleanest light and longest sightlines for photography. Pench, the real-life Jungle Book landscape, delivers dense teak forest, leopards and dhole. Tadoba, Maharashtra's oldest reserve, is known for open, unhurried tiger sightings and heavy waterhole activity in the March dry season. Three genuinely different shooting environments in one trip, which is exactly what a portfolio needs.

Between drives there's time to review the day's take, work through settings and technique, and go back out having fixed what didn't work that morning. That feedback loop is the whole point of a workshop, and it's why this runs at 8 guests and not 16.

⏳ 5 of the 8 seats are booked. The remaining 3 must be confirmed by 5 November 2026. This is a single fixed departure, and park permits, lodges and domestic flights are all booked against the confirmed group. Seats not taken by that date are released, so if March 2027 is on your list, enquire well before then.

Krishna Goswami

Founder & Lead Safari Specialist

Krishna knows what it feels like to arrive at a world-class national park completely unprepared. Wrong zones. No understanding of animal behaviour. Nobody to help you read the forest. He spent years figuring it out across India, Kenya and Tanzania, and built Junglee so you don't have to.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

The workshop runs Tuesday 9 March to Saturday 20 March 2027. Bangalore is the default arrival city, but if you'd rather fly into Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad or another Indian metro, tell us on enquiry and we'll arrange your connection. If you arrive anywhere other than Bangalore, the group comes together at Raipur airport on Wednesday 10 March, where your guide meets everyone before the drive to Kanha.

Day 1 Tue 9 Mar Arrive Bangalore · Overnight ▴

Arrive in Bangalore, or your preferred Indian metro city such as Delhi or Mumbai, arranged on request. Private airport transfer to your hotel. Check in, settle in and rest. You meet your guide and the rest of the group at Raipur airport tomorrow, where the workshop briefing runs before we drive in to Kanha. Overnight Bangalore.

Day 2 Wed 10 Mar Bangalore → Raipur → Kanha · Group Meets · Nature Walk ▾

Morning airport transfer and domestic flight to Raipur (approx. 1.5 hrs). Your guide meets the full group at Raipur airport on Wednesday 10 March. This is where the workshop comes together, whichever city you flew in from. Private vehicle transfer to Kanha National Park (approx. 4 hrs). Lunch, check in, and the opening workshop briefing: what we're shooting, how the three reserves differ, settings and shooting discipline, and how to have your gear ready for a 5am start. Late afternoon, a nature walk with a resident naturalist: a first look at the habitat, and a chance to work on the smaller subjects and landscape frames that round out a portfolio. Overnight Kanha.

Days 3 & 4 Thu 11 & Fri 12 Mar Kanha · 4 Safaris ▾

Four safaris across these two days, with a fifth to come on Day 5. Open sal meadows give the cleanest light and longest sightlines of the whole trip, plus barasingha, gaur, dhole and sloth bear alongside tigers. Four guests per jeep, with your two workshop leaders split between the vehicles. Between drives: image review and technique work, building on the briefing before Kanha's final morning. Overnight Kanha.

Day 5 Sat 13 Mar Kanha · 5th Safari → Pench ▾

A final full morning safari in Kanha, your fifth, making the most of the best light of the day before we move on. Back to the lodge for lunch, then private transfer to Pench Tiger Reserve in the afternoon. Check in and time to back up and cull the Kanha take before we start again. Overnight Pench.

Days 6 & 7 Sun 14 & Mon 15 Mar Pench · 4 Safaris in 2 Jeeps ▾

Four safaris in Pench, the real Jungle Book landscape. Dense teak forest, dramatic dappled light, and Pench's reputation for reliable leopard sightings and dhole packs alongside tigers. Between drives: image review, technique work, and planning the next session around the light. Overnight Pench.

Day 8 Tue 16 Mar Pench → Tadoba · Afternoon Safari ▾

A leisurely breakfast at Pench, then private transfer direct to Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. Check in and lunch, then straight out on your first Tadoba safari that same afternoon: a first read of the reserve before the full days that follow. Overnight Tadoba.

Day 9 Wed 17 Mar Tadoba · 1 Safari in 3 Jeeps ▾

A full morning safari in Tadoba, Maharashtra's largest and oldest reserve, and one of India's most reliable for open, unhurried tiger sightings. Here we run three jeeps instead of two, so the group spreads to just two or three guests per vehicle: the most room, and the cleanest sightlines, of the whole trip. The afternoon is given to image review and technique work, with time to rest before a full two-drive day tomorrow. Overnight Tadoba.

Day 10 Thu 18 Mar Tadoba · 2 Safaris in 3 Jeeps ▾

The fullest day of the workshop: safaris morning and afternoon, both in three jeeps. Dry teak and bamboo forest with excellent waterhole activity in March, plus leopard, sloth bear and dhole alongside tigers. Between the two drives, lunch and a review of the morning's take while the light is at its harshest. Overnight Tadoba.

Day 11 Fri 19 Mar Tadoba → Nagpur → Bangalore ▾

Breakfast at the lodge, then private transfer to Nagpur airport for your return flight to Bangalore. Hotel check-in and a closing dinner: final image review, favourites from the trip, and where to take the work next. Overnight Bangalore.

Day 12 Sat 20 Mar Bangalore: Depart Home ▾

Breakfast and check-out. Private transfer to Bangalore international airport for your flight home. End of the workshop.

What Past Guests Say

★★★★★

"I live in Melbourne and was looking for an Australian-based, trustworthy wildlife tour operator for my parents in India. My parents travelled from India for a 7-day safari in Kanha in March, and the entire experience exceeded expectations. From the moment they landed in Jabalpur, everything was exceptionally well organised. The safari guides and drivers were highly professional and passionate about wildlife, and the expert photography guidance was an added bonus. They witnessed Royal Bengal Tigers, Indian Leopards, and Barasinghas in their natural habitat. I would highly recommend Junglee Wildlife Tours to anyone looking for an authentic, professionally managed wildlife experience in India."
